Consider this when deciding on the next president of our country: After seven years of a Republican presidency, our economy is crumbling as is our infrastructure. We have no comprehensive energy policy. Health care is in trouble; education is slipping; oil companies have sucked billions from us in subsidies and at the gas pumps. Corporate boards, CEOs, CFOs and Wall Street investment bankers have robbed us. We have killed thousands and spent billions on an unnecessary war in Iraq. Speech Was Vindictive I was appalled, but not surprised Wednesday night to hear Gov. Palin launch vindictively into Sen. Obama without providing an ounce of substance about where she thinks a McCain administration should focus. I was particularly affected by her characterization of the war in Iraq as "God's task." That assertion is at the very least xenophobic, and at best fundamentalist. ...more
