The Tampa Tribune ran a front-page story Wednesday about former Wesley Chapel High School student Alex Fuentes being dismissed from the National Honor Society because of a Facebook page he created criticizing the school. The popularity of the page he started about three months ago, "Wesley Chapel High = Fail," stirred trouble that eventually got him kicked out of the National Honor Society and led him to transfer to another school. The National Honor Society has four pillars - scholarship, service, leadership and character- that members are expected to uphold. Faculty members determined Fuentes violated the rules and voted to remove him. ...more
