Not everyone in Highlands County opposes everything our president is trying to accomplish. There are many of us in this county who understand the significance this health reform bill holds for the many residents in this county. Many families in our community will benefit from this reform yet these same people are the ones watching extreme conservative television and being spoon-fed rhetoric nonsense. When we free ourselves from the fear that controls us we can think clearly about what our options are. As Clearwater High School graduate Nicole Passonno Stott took a spacewalk Tuesday, her friends and family watched intently from Capogna's Dugout Italian Restaurant and Sports Bar. Television sets normally tuned to the Rays or Bucs in the Clearwater establishment were fixed on the NASA channel as Stott removed an ammonia tank from the International Space Station. The flight engineer is one of seven astronauts who blasted off Friday aboard space shuttle Discovery.
