A 49-year-old Tampa man slammed a 15-year-old to the ground Sunday, police say. The teen struck the man several times in the face to stop the attack, according to police. The teenager, who suffered a broken cheek bone, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. Tampa police arrested Alphonso Lee King at 11:25 a.m. Monday. King was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. He was booked at Tampa General Hospital. He remains there. His bail is set at $7,500. ...more
