Regarding "DOT Addresses I-275 Backups" (Metro, Feb. 21): I'm not sure this article was meant to amuse, but it did. A quick read will instruct all newcomers to the reason the roads are a mess in the Tampa Bay area. The DOT was "surprised" that closing off 25 percent of the lanes along Interstate 275 would cause the "conga line" of 94,000 cars coming into Tampa daily.
