On Nov. 11, we attended a Veterans Day remembrance at the Lake Placid Christian School on Interlake Boulevard. We thank Headmaster Dennis Griffin and the faculty for letting us attend. We were impressed with the students and the ceremony, all the students and faculty gathered around the flag pole. The flag was raised by two students. The Pledge of Allegiance with proper salute was recited by all. Rev. DeHart lead us in prayer and gave a little talk on a friend of his who was in the war. One of the students gave a speech on what Veterans Day means to us and how we should honor our veterans. It was a very simple and meaningful ceremony. It was our privilege and pleasure to see and hear the youth of today remember this Veterans Day.
