Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's acceptance speech at the convention Wednesday night was an impressive debut on the national stage - well-delivered, with an appealing combination of charm and bite befitting her description of a hockey mom as a pit bull in lipstick. The Alaska governor proved herself more than capable of making a strong case for nominee John McCain and landing some pretty good zingers, aimed at both the Democratic nominee and the "Washington elite." Mr. David Majick wrote a rebuttal article pertaining to the question of America having an oil shortage. In his reference to my article questioning an oil shortage, he also referenced Mr. Lindsey Williams and his views that the North Slope of Alaska has enough oil to last us 200 years. I do not know if Alaska holds enough oil to last America 200 years but I do know that we are shipping that oil out of America. ...more

Everyone has heard about the record "profits" of United States oil companies. These companies are also in record debt due to the lack of backing and restrictions placed on them by our government.
