I have never seen the dirty, desperate smear campaign that McCain-Palin are running. McCain says he would freeze spending for a year; let me translate that for you. It applies to Social Security for one thing. He has been itching to get his hands on our Social Security for years. He plans to cut our benefits, cut the cost of living, raise the retirement age, privatize accounts again and invest it in Wall Street, in spite of what's happening now. Enough is enough! My 401K is losing value by the minute. My future is anything but secure despite planning and saving. Thousands of people in Highlands County have no health insurance or access to routine health care. The food pantries in our county are out of food and people are hungry. I made a special trip to the Obama Headquarters the other day to purchase an Obama-Biden campaign sign. There used to be a representation of Obama-Biden signs along Hammock Road, along with McCain-Palin signs. Also along Heron Road, there was a representation of both. ...more
