Lance Maulsby, an 8-year-old history buff, requested a meeting with Mayor Pam Iorio, and on Nov. 5 was granted his request. Iorio chatted with the Academy of the Holy Names third-grader about politics, social studies and history as well as the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers and Lightning. Maulsby has memorized facts regarding past wars and was able to engage the mayor during their brief visit in her downtown office. ...more
