Sebring's Cody Hoffner went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored and Dustin Lang earned the win with 4 1/3 innings of solid pitching to lead the Blue Streaks to a 13-3, five-inning victory over Avon Park in the Class 4A-District 10 semifinal at Firemen's Field on Thursday night. The win moves Sebring into the district finals against Braden River at 7 p.m. on Friday, while the loss ended the season for Avon Park and Coach Mort Jackson, who is stepping down after 22 years as head coach of the Red Devils. ...more

Morris Searching For Leaders Among Young Bucs
Raheem Morris says he is waiting on a few good men. Tampa Bay's rookie head coach acknowledges the Buccaneers lost some key leaders when the team purged five veterans in February, including captain Derrick Brooks.
