As some who also has no health insurance, and who believes that the government should do something to reform it, I am, on the other hand, somewhat disturbed by the attitude of people like Colleen Kasperek who is willing to take any kind of government health care system including this huge 2,000-page bill, which I doubt anyone in Congress knows what is in it. ...more

It would be hard for health care reform to be in worse shape. What were once lofty promises to curtail the excess of a soulless group of health insurance companies has turned into what is almost certainly going to be a bonanza for those very same companies. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is trying desperately to salvage some aspect of the bill and even still it seems unlikely that any good will come from this "reform." ...more

Stop the government takeover of health care. I think we can all agree that the system needs some serious reforms. I do not believe government control or intervention is the proper method to correct the system. Putting politics and government bureaucrats in charge of my health care is a bad idea. ...more

"We have to get off fossil fuels for the future," said Putnam, R-Bartow, who discussed building nuclear plants and investing in clean coal energy while focusing on using today's resources wisely.
