That's why Florida is about to crack along I-10 and become an independent island, which apparently wouldn't disturb the Democrats too much since Floridians have never seemed to be able to develop the knack of voting in the first place, not withstanding that most Floridians are not natives of this state in the first place. Mr. David Majick wrote a rebuttal article pertaining to the question of America having an oil shortage. In his reference to my article questioning an oil shortage, he also referenced Mr. Lindsey Williams and his views that the North Slope of Alaska has enough oil to last us 200 years. I do not know if Alaska holds enough oil to last America 200 years but I do know that we are shipping that oil out of America. ...more

The climate change bill that senators are to begin debating this week is a hugely important signal of intent on behalf of U.S. legislators. Yes, negotiations could still alter the legislation. But the bill's core proposition is correct: Unless the United States radically reduces its greenhouse gas emissions, along with other major emitters, the damage to the climate will be irreversible. ...more
