Public Meeting Hernando County Continuum of Care of the Mid Florida Homeless Coalition will hold its monthly meeting from 8 to 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Children's Advocacy Center of Hernando at Mid Florida Community Services located at 880 Kennedy Blvd., Brooksville. Plans will be made for the 2009 homeless point-in-time census, which will be held on Jan. 24. Those interested in the prevention of homelessness or assisting those who are homeless are encouraged to attend. Monday will be "Gardening Glove Treasure"; the workshop for Aug. 18 has yet to be decided. All workshops are open to the public. Please bring scissors, pencils and small paintbrushes.
