Whenever I read or hear scare tactics used in the press or letters to the editor, I can easily identify the contributor to the Republican Party. I'm observing their reluctance, or inability to get over their hold on the reins of government leadership. More recently I have noticed they have used their cumulative wealth (or what's left of it) to even encourage public speaking for their Tea Party members. This Tea Party movement was encouraged by Fox TV for their own "entertainment." Yes folks, it is not a coincidence that Fox TV is called "entertainment" instead of a news station. During Busch's presidency, no similar mass effort was made by the Democratic Party out of respect of the presidential office. U.S. citizens should be more conservative of voicing their political opinions. They should make problems and concerns known to Congressional and Senate leaders through the proper channels such as e-mail, phone and mail addresses. Aero Park Isn't Safe Or Reasonable I have to respond to the FAA spokesperson in the (Jan. 28) article ("Federal Study Requested For Tampa North Aero Park"). I did contact the Aero Park owner and was told by Charlie that he couldn't (wouldn't) do anything about the planes that fly over my house that is situated at least 700 feet north of the direct flight path. So much for that suggestion. And the assertion that we're operating in one of the safest periods in aviation history is at best laughable. We've had two crashes (one fatal) here in Wesley Chapel in the last four years. The next one could be into one of the 2,500 houses that surround the airfield. Let's face it: The airfield serves less than 100 people and puts upwards of 7,500 people at risk. How safe or reasonable is that? ...more
