Kevin Renaldo Mapes, 20, told an officer "that if someone is stupid enough to leave their car unlocked, it's OK to take their stuff," an arrest affidavit states. TAMPA - A 26-year-old Tampa man was sentenced to 42 months in prison for stealing mail, credit cards and identities, the U.S. attorney's office reported Monday. Frank James Miller stole more than 360 items of mail from residents in the Lutz and Carrollwood area from July to October 2005, court documents state. Miller was charged with two counts of possession of stolen mail, unauthorized use of an access device and aggravated identity theft. ...more
