I read that Congressional members has given themselves a cost of living pay increase of $4,700 a year at a cost to the taxpayers of $2.5 million. How any member of Congress can wake up and look in the mirror in the morning and accept this pay raise is beyond me? Can anyone explain to me the justification behind this when millions of Americans can't put food on the table to feed their families or pay their utilities bill or car payment? ...more
