SEBRING — Last weekend's Highlands Art League fundraiser, "Art on the Waterfront," which attracted about 150 art patrons to the home of Martile and Tim Blackman, was a financial success. LAKE PLACID — Marjorie O'Meara has a lot to show for her 70 years. She's positive and creative because her focus is to have fun and be happy. For the past 35 years, O'Meara has lived in Sebring where she raised her son. In addition to being a social worker, she's a professional artist who's taught through the Highlands Art League, SFCC community art education, and had her own art gallery and studio on the downtown Circle. ...more

The Highlands Art League would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support and contributions. An event as large as the festival would not be possible without community support, and we appreciate all our community does for us. Our title sponsor this year was Mid Florida Credit Union. Our Friday night activities were underwritten by the city of Sebring CRA with Golden Palms Catering Company providing all the food for the weekend activities at the Yellow House. We have been able to count on them for their support for the past four years. The Florida Mentor, Dr. and Mrs. Pigman, and Happy Owl teamed together to be our Community Street Sponsors. Progress Energy came back and sponsored Children's Street this year. Crutchfield and Sons joined them to provide for the Children's Fest Tent.
