White Paces County Runners

Running against probably toughest field they have faced all year, the Springstead Lady Eagles came in ninth while the Central Lady Bears finished 10th in the 12th annual Gator Invitational Saturday at Shady Hill's Crews Lake Park.

Springstead junior Jackie White had the best individual finish for a Hernando County runner as she ran the 5K race in a time 21:15 to finish 19th overall.

Mikayla Bogulski ran a 21:21 for Central's best showing in the 24-team race. Nature Coast Technical finished 21st overall; Hernando was 24th.

Sidney Devore of Lake Region won the race in a course-record time of 18:52.
