CHS 7th At Gator Invite

Led by a 13th-place finish from by Mason MacKenzie, Central came in seventh in the 23-team Gator Invitational held Saturday at Crews Lake Park in Shady Hills.
Hernando, with Joe Wright earning a ninth-place finish, wound up eighth overall, while Nature Coast Technical, led by a seventh-place finish by Matt Lambert, finished 10th.
Eric Montoya of Estero won the 5K race in a time of 16:05, while Lambert ran a 17:08, Wright a 17:17 and MacKenzie finished in a time of 17:23.
