County Tourney Today

Southern Hills Plantation Club will host the Hernando County Championship Tournament today, with golfers from Central, Hernando, Nature Coast and Springstead High all teeing off at noon.

Central has won the past seven county titles under Head Coach Gary Morton, but the Bears come in at 5-12.

"I have no idea to tell you the truth," said Morton about what he expects today. "We could finish first or fourth or somewhere in between. The other teams are the same way. This one is hard to handicap."
