AARP shenanigansPublished: September 30, 2012
This is a letter to advise all my senior friends that AARP has weighed in on the current campaign.
These people are blatant liars. First and foremost it is Obama and the liberal progressive Democrats who want to destroy medicare not Gov. Romney. The assault by the Democrats has already begun with the gutting of $716 billion.
Their next step is to destroy medicare advantage as we know it through the Unaffordable Care Act. I need not remind anyone that the AARP is a staunch advocate of this abomination.
The Romney/Ryan plan will affect no one under 55 years of age and only those who choose will be put on a voucher type program anyone else would simply stay on medicare as it is currently.
The Democrats goal is to put every American on a single payer plan and destroy our health care system as we know it. AARP likes to think it speaks for us seniors which is simply not true their bogus association has been losing members since the health care debate began which is when their true colors were shown.
So my friends remember AARP is a group of lying shills for the socialists in the Democratic Party. Let us not forget the independent payment advisory board which is a group of bureaucrats who will determine if what you want or need can be given to you or anyone for whom you may care. Hip replacement, too old, give him a wheel chair and some aspirin; organ transplant too old make him comfortable until he dies.
That is what the AARP wants for us they have not now nor ever had the best interest of seniors in mind.

Reinstitute impact fees now
Bob the Builder has his hand out again requesting that the county continue to waive impact fees for another year. When asked neither Bob the Builder nor the county planning office could provide any data that shows that waiving the impact fees did anything more than improve the profit for the construction community.
Hernando County has gotten in the business of subsidizing an industry at the expense of every other industry and resident in the county. Subsidizing one industry is not what capitalist societies typically do.
What every Hernando County resident needs to know is that over the first three quarters of setting the impact rates to $0, the county has foregone $2.1 million in revenues that could have been used for roads, education, library services, fire, EMS, buildings, law enforcement and parks. Interestingly enough, it is almost the exact amount of the budget hole that had to be filled. This foregone revenue does not include any state or federal matching funds that were left on the table.
While the builders are busy getting subsidized to the tune of almost $3 million, we residents are being asked to accept a millage rate increase. Because the county's budget has been cut significantly we accepted that increase but perhaps there would have been more of a protest if we knew we were paying for Bob the Builder's profit.
It is not the taxpayers' job to ensure the profitability of Bob the Builder. It is time that the county accepts the fact that construction is no longer king and other industries are needed in Hernando County.

Obama against voter identification
The Obama Democrats are against the requirement of voter identification, but why? The answer is that it will enable them to stuff the ballots with illegal votes.
The Democrats claim that voter identification will prevent blacks and Hispanics from voting. Another lie by Obama.
Ninety percent of the blacks and Hispanics have drivers licenses and other means of identification and if they do not have any means of identification, the state will provide them with identification at no charge.
The Obama administration will stoop to any illegal means to obtain illegal votes, which is obvious by their opposition to providing legal identification for voters, remember "Acorn." The use of identification will help prove that identity of the person voting is correct and that they are legal citizens entitled to vote.
The use of personal identification is commonly used throughout the USA, by our government, by private industry and the credit card industry. If our courts go along with Obama, it shows us our courts are sick. The Obama administration is doing anything and everything to be re-elected, including lies and promoting illegal voting. Wake up America.
