Democrats show their true colors

I told myself I would not watch the Democratic National Convention, but I was compelled by curiosity to take short peeks because that was all I could take.

I was fortunate to see the convention delegates vote against God before they voted for him and watching the chair trying to get a vote on the reinstatement of God and the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

It took three agonizing votes, and in the end it was clear that the delegates did not vote by a two-thirds majority to accept the amended platform. The chair was clearly dumbfounded when he repeated the request for a vote three times and the No's clearly out shouted the Yea's.

However, the "ruler-in-chief" had made it clear that the platform would be amended to include the language referencing the "God-given potential" of people and that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel.

It was amazing to watch as thousands of delegates booed the decision to add back "God" and Jerusalem to the platform. That sight ought to make the supporters of our staunchest ally in the Middle East gasp.

Moving on, I watched a little of Sandra Fluke and Elizabeth Warren, who decried the conditions in the United States as being against opportunity but failed to note that President Obama has been in charge for the past four years.

This is the guy who when asked about what grade he should be given replied "an Incomplete."  Anyone who has ever attended college knows that an Incomplete as a grade is tantamount to failure.

Then, the "coup de grace" was delivered by the former president William Jefferson Clinton. When the Democrats accuse the Republicans of a war on women, who do they use as their standard bearer of morality and protector of women? None other than the general of the real war on women, Bill Clinton.

Does Jennifer Flowers ring a bell or Paula Jones and Catherine Wiley? These are some of the general's conquests, along with the most notorious, Monica Lewinsky. Here we have the president of the United States defiling not only the office of President but the Oval Office itself.

This is the man sent out to persuade the American people that they are better off now than they were four years ago.

He spoke mainly about himself, as he often does, and when he recounts good things that happened under his watch like a balanced budget and welfare reform, he fails to mention it was a Republican Congress that was the real author of these reforms.

But, after all, what does the truth matter to the man who defiled a 19-year-old intern and argued the meaning of "is."
