Spring Hill man arrested in Friday shooting

SPRING HILL - A 38-year-old Spring Hill man was arrested Saturday on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a firearm following a shooting Friday evening near the intersection of Pinehurst and Spring Hill drives, near the Walgreens.Published: November 17, 2012
Bonnel Azemar was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at 8458 Day St. in Spring Hill where his girlfriend lives.
According to the report, deputies responded to 6494 Spring Hill Drive at 5:34 p.m. Friday to find 34-year-old Derick Wayne Vassar in the front yard with a gunshot wound in his back.
Vassar was transported to a Bay area hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
A witness and another victim, Danielle Marvel, were able to indentify the shooter to authorities.
They said following the shooting Azemar got into a white Dodge Ram and fled the scene.
Marvel was not injured during the confrontation, the report said.
With the help of several divisions within the sheriff's office, they were able to locate Azemar on Saturday morning at his girlfriend's house in Spring Hill. He was taken into custody without incident, the report said.
The sheriff's office has not released a motive for the shooting.
Azemar was previously arrested Oct. 24 on charges of domestic battery and trespassing. Azemar is being held on a $70,000 bond in connection with the latest charges.
