BROOKSVILLE - The director of the Turkish Aviation Administration will be in Brooksville next week to inspect the operations of a local manufacturer of airport safety products contracted to build 32 runway friction testers for use in airports throughout Turkey.Published: November 11, 2012
NAC Dynamics, LLC will host Orhan Birdal and other members of the Turkish General Directorate of State Airports Authority Nov. 14-16, at the facility located in the Hernando County Airport Industrial Park.
The group represents the state-run authority responsible for the management and regulation of the 42 airports and aerodromes in Turkey.
According to the release, next week's visit will serve as an official inspection and acceptance of NAC Dynamic's U.S. patented runway friction testers, which are scientific measurement devices used by airports authorities to evaluate runway surface performance safety conditions.
The devices provide both friction values and contaminant type to airport operations by monitoring changing surface conditions, which can affect aircraft take-off and landing operations, the release said.
The delegation's trip marks an important step toward the completion of a $2.5 million contract between the Turkish agency and NAC Dynamics.
"This international contract is an example of our company's global reputation in providing quality and repeatable testing equipment," said Tim Neubert, president of NAC Dynamics. "Contract obligation to the Turkish Aviation Administration is for a 10-year support of these devices while having a support office in Turkey until 2026."
