As a former reader of the St. Pete Times this article from the former Associate Editor Martin Dyckman made very clear the reason I now enjoy the Hernando Today and The Tampa Tribune.
The over the top liberal views are crystal clear in this berating piece on Mitt Romney. Mr Dyckman mentions qualifications he looks for in a president, he also mentions former office holders and their principles.
You can pick good and bad traits in all the past office holders but most had one thing in common; they tried to do what was best for the country. I ask Mr Dyckman have you really listened to the present occupant of that office? His idea of job growth is inflating the ranks of public service employees. I ask you "what product pays for the salaries of cops, teachers, fireman and construction workers?" All those jobs are union based and taxpayer funded.
Has the president forgotten the private sector has to be employed to pay for all these service jobs? Sure it was politically advantageous to bail out the auto industry another union-based employer but how many mom and pop businesses went belly up these are the employers of most Americans where were their bailouts?
The Mom and Pop businesses don't make the headlines. When they fail the effect is felt on Main Street not Wall Street. Romney has just as many admirable traits as most who have held that office and I'm sure there are just as many faults. However, it seems he has the private sector job creation on the front burner which needs to be the priority if we are going to be able to pay the public service salaries of that side of the equation.
The money has to come from some tax-based entity, not from borrowing on our kids' future.
