Making a wise decision

Picking a school superintendent, "Well here we go again" looking for someone to run our schools and spending more of the taxpayers' money.

I wonder why that is happening again because the school board keeps picking people that are outside there own school system.

If Sonya Jackson is good enough to be an interim superintendent and assistant superintendent, why is the school board even looking for someone else?

I guess if you want to have the top spot in the school system Hernando County is not the place to work. We have plenty of top quality employees right here in our school system and the Hernando County School Board needs to wake up and pick one this time around.

Red light solution

I have a solution for the red light cameras that will keep everybody happy.

Out of the proceeds, pay the person(s) who check the videos and send out the Summons. Pay the red light company their piece of the pie, and donate the remainder to local charities.

The culprits will then know that it really is a safety, and not a '"for profit'" venture. The city will be happy that fewer accidents are occurring, freeing up deputies. Simple, right?
