BROOKSVILLE A - former employee of Forest Oaks of Spring Hill was charged Monday with burglary, drug possession and drug trafficking.Published: December 11, 2012
Sheriff deputies responded to a commercial burglary call at 4 a.m. after reports a medication cart full of drugs was missing. The supervisor on duty told the officers the last time she saw the cart was when she filled it with medications — including controlled substances — three hours earlier.
While deputies looked for the cart, a Forest Hills employee said she saw former employee Jennifer Aman on the property. Aman, 25, had been banned indefinitely from the property by the resident care director.
Detectives later found Aman's boyfriend, Darren Smith, at Aman's residence with the medication cart. Both Aman and Smith were charged with burglary, trafficking in hydrocodone and possession of Xanax. The pair is being held in the Hernando County Detention Center, both on $535,000 bond.
