Flexing musclePublished: December 6, 2012
About Susan Rice and her possible nomination as U.S. Secretary of State: The issue has nothing to do with Ms. Rice's qualifications (she's highly qualified), her ability to function effectively on the international stage (she's been doing it for years) or how she presented the Benghzai incident (she was given bogus information.)
It's all about power. The Republicans are trying to flex what muscle they have left by daring President Obama to nominate his choice.
Nothing to do with Rice and everything to do with whose got the muscle.

Sad shape
Just want to share with our citizens the insanity that exists in government today. Less than a month ago I voted for the president of the United States of America. On that day I walked into the polling station, gave the woman at the desk my name and address. She looked me up said sign here, gave me a ballot and I voted.
Today Dec. 3, 2012, I walked into the Department of Motor Vehicle to renew my driver's license. I gave them my original birth certificate, my passport, a copy of my 2011 W-2 form, my voter's registration card, and my vehicle registration. The last two to verify I lived where my license said I did.
In addition I showed them my Florida State ESF-8 emergency response team photo ID, my Hernando County Sheriff's Office CERT photo ID, and my Chaplain Spring Hill Fire Rescue photo ID.
I was turned down because our church, when they did my W-2 form wrote it out rather than typed it. Now mind you I also had my 1040 form showing the IRS had duly accepted it.
This is why our nation is in the shape it is in today. Someone born in this country with an overwhelming packet of ID can be turned down from renewing their driver's license. And someone else can illegally enter our country, get a driver's license, welfare, food stamps, medicaid, and college tuition no questions asked.
I don't in any way mean that to disparage immigrants coming into our country, those that come legally, but I do mean to say it shows how insane our government had become in their requirements. I can vote for president no Id, but can't renew my license with a pile of documented proof.
