Woman, 78, killed in Spring Hill crash

A 78-year-old woman died after driving into the path of another vehicle in Spring Hill on Friday night, troopers said.Published: December 1, 2012
Catherine Lord, of Spring Hill, was taken to Oakhill Hospital where she died, said Sgt. Steve Gaskins, spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lord was driving a 2006 Ford Taurus west on Landover Boulevard at 7 p.m. when she failed to yield right-of-way at the Mariner Boulevard intersection, Gaskins said.
Lord traveled into the path of a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Matthew Beiersi, 36, and her vehicle was hit on the left side, Gaskins said.
Troopers continue to investigate.
