Aug. 1 was a great day to be an American. The community came out in the hot sun by the hundreds, probably the thousands to support a private business that had been abused by the far left and the media.
There were citizens of every race and color. There were elderly and babies. All came to Chick-fil-A to stand for what is right. They were happy and talking to strangers just because they were standing next to them.
The food was good and the staff deserves a gold metal for handling that large crowd. There were smiles from every corner. I will bet no one ever walked from an adjacent parking lot before. I was proud to be among them. I was proud to be an American.

Election matters
I know I will ruffle a few feathers but I have some concerns on the candidates that run for office in any election, especially local.
It does not matter what party you are voting for but the repetition of television commercials and voting signs are getting ridiculous. The money that is being spent to get into public office and to work for the people of this country must be very lucrative.
What I mean by that is, they get a pension and medical benefits as soon as they leave office at the national level and the people that vote for them have to wait for their pension and medical to age 62 or 65.
Now, let's get to the issue of candidate signs. It appears and it's only my opinion, the amount of signs that are being used in a row for a candidate to run for office is getting ridiculous to the point of being a turnoff for that candidate plus a driving distraction.
I know the candidate wants to get into office to get his views across to the public but what other views is that saying to the public. In my opinion, repetition-repetition is a sign to me that we have a candidate running for office that is the same of what we got in office now.
There is another question, do we have a candidate that has a problem with OCB, (Obsessive Compulsive Behavior). A candidate that puts up that many signs in a row, I would begin to worry about putting him into office.
There are other things with these signs and that is the person putting up these signs obstructs the view of other signs and memorials which are properly place not on county property.
I thought you could not place voting signs on county property. The corner of Deltona and Northcliffe, most of those signs are on county property. Where is the county code enforcement officer, why isn't he picking up those signs that are breaking county rules and regulations or has that changed too.
What I have just wrote is just my opinion and not the views of others in this county or country but I encourage everybody to be very careful who you vote for in the upcoming election, you have to live by that vote.
