BROOKSVILLE - On February 1, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution proclaiming Friday, February 4th as "Go Red for Women" day in Hernando County.Published: February 9, 2011
The resolution recognized Brooksville Regional Hospital's advanced Cardiac program and Certified Chest Pain Center and complimented Brooksville Regional Hospital's Women's Advisory Council on their commitment to educate and raise awareness about women and cardiovascular disease.
Further, it urged all citizens to wear red on that day to recognize family, friends and neighbors who have suffered from heart disease and as a show of support to fight it.
