Support group celebrates fifth year

The Breast Cancer Support Group of Hernando County celebrated its fifth anniversary this past Tuesday at Florida Cancer Specialists. The BCSG of HC was created by women to provide information to empower individuals to become their own health and wellness advocates.

The main goal is to support survivors through their journey from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. This group of compassionate and fun ladies celebrated by organizing and donating to the St. Vincent De Paul's backpack program for the homeless. Tambra Randazzo is the facilitator of this energetic group and credits the members for its success. Anyone with cancer is welcome and the meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Florida Cancer Specialists located at 7154 Medical Center Drive in Spring Hill.
