The misinformed public

Every day we hear someone or read an article by someone who does not have an idea that this country is a Representative Republic.

They have no idea that we have a Constitution that lays out the power given to each of the branches of our government. None of the Articles in the Constitution, there are only seven, have ever been looked upon by their eyes. Yet they spout rhetoric and write articles that are inane at best and outright lies and misinformation at worst. All of this without thought of what they might be causing in the minds of a large segment of our population who do not know how our government works or have any idea what is being done by the politicians in power.

Jobs have to be one of the most abused of the hot button issues today. Unemployment is not directly the presidents' fault. The Congress makes the laws that get us into the dirt every time. President Obama shares some of the fault because, for two years as Sen. Obama, he voted for every bill they brought out of the House and Senate. Those two years alone added more then $2 trillion to the national debt. They also, due to Congressional oversight allowed the housing bubble and the banking problems to happen. Unemployment due to this reached 10 percent and stayed there for some time. Actual unemployment was about 17 percent or more.

President Obama in his re-election campaign speeches has been claiming to have put in place around 2 million jobs. The problem with his math is this. This country must every month, I'll make the number low, provide "150,000" jobs.

These are jobs needed to just employ the high school and college students coming out into the job market. One hundred fifty thousand times 36 months, years 2009-11, equals "5.4 million" jobs required to hold the fort on unemployment in those four years.

That folks leaves him about "3 plus million" short on creating enough jobs. Does everyone reading this understand that? If you don't you need to go back to school.

Obama, obviously, knows the above facts. He is after all a supposed "Harvard Grad." He has several hundred staff members' fact checking everything for him daily. He still stands up there reading off his teleprompter, with a smile on his face, telling you he is bringing this economy out of the doldrums.

He actually looks into your collective eyes and lies right to your face. Are we the people in this country, and especially his supporters, actually stupid enough to believe this man? If we are, then we deserve everything that is going to happen to us. This country as we know it will cease to exist.

Due in part to this articulate, from the teleprompter, smooth talking lawyer. As our daddies said, "Trust a lawyer only as far as you can throw him. Very especially one that has never held a sweat producing job."
