Licensed contractors needed to weatherize

Mid Florida Community Services is seeking state-licensed contractors to install the following available Weatherization Program measures:

•Air filtration reduction - window and door repair/replacement; weather-stripping; and minor floor, wall and ceiling repair.

•Replace or repair ductwork and refrigerators.

•Installation of insulation and solar screens.

Contractors must provide a Certificate of Liability, Certificate of Workers' Comp, and a state license and should have experience/knowledge of The Davis Bacon Act and be willing to become Certified Renovators.

Mid Florida Community Services has received Federal Weatherization Assistance Program funds to be used for weatherization of residential homes in the following counties: Hernando, Pasco, Citrus, Sumter and Volusia. The focus of the Weatherization Assistance Program is to increase the energy efficiency of residential homes, thus lowering the energy burden of low-income individuals and families. An eligible homeowner's income must fall within the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
