The making of a dictatorial presidency

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The making of a presidency or the undoing of one is not the job of a free press. Their function is to search and report the truth to the citizenry as the watchdogs of the government. The light of truth is an antidote to the establishment of a tyrannical government.

Reporters should present the facts so that citizens can make an intelligent evaluation of the administration in power. It is the will of the people, not the media's censorship or distortion of the facts that should determine the direction of our government.

The truth has been perverted by the insidious practices of the media ruling class to promote their political agenda.

JournoList, an online community of radical progressive educators, writers and opinion makers' mission has been exposed. They are committed to protecting President Obama from factual information that may have hurt his presidency. Currently, many in the media want to put a political spin to maintain and bolster the president's image and ratings.

The elite media painted President Obama as a middle-of-the-road compromiser while he had the most extreme progressive voting record of any senator. Instead of asking questions about controversial radical advisers such as Van Jones - Green Jobs Czar, Reverend Wright, Dr. Donald Berwick - health care czar, and a host of others, they took a pass.

It is only through the facts being available to the people can our representative government function at all. JournoList member, Spencer Ackerman, stated to other media elite that you need to pick a conservative and attack him as a racist to deflect the public attention from Reverend Wright during the 2008 presidential elections. When editors choose not to run important stories like the Van Jones or Reverend Wright stories, they are censoring the news. Many potentially inflammatory issues are being shoved under the rug by the progressive media.

Sara Spitz, producer for NPR and another member of the JournoList, wanted to witness Rush Limbaugh die a horrible death. She disgracefully and dramatically described this on her website. Mr. Limbaugh's crime is as a radio host he presents a conservative perspective that sarcastically mocks the elite media and politician's attempt to revise the news. His crime is often that he is right in correcting the media taking liberties with the facts.

On April 1, The New York Times issued a correction. There was no evidence that epithets reportedly directed in March at Representative John Lewis, Democrat of Georgia, outside the Capitol came from the tea party members. No media outlet has shown evidence that the 'N' word was shouted 15 times by tea party members at the March 20 Health Care Rally, although it was widely reported by the elite media as a fact.

On Aug. 3, 71 percent of the voters in Missouri passed a state measure baring the federal government from requiring people to carry health insurance. This was an overwhelming repudiation of the ObamaCare bill; but since it was against the progressive activist agenda, it was hardly reported in the press.

The media has powers and a necessary self-interest role in demanding transparency in government. These opinion leaders have abdicated their responsibility of searching for the truth. It is reasonable for commentators to advocate for radical political positions, but it is not ethical for reporters to withhold information or to misinform the public to gain favor and access to an administration. The media being the administration's fan club makes them nothing more than a propaganda organ for that regime.

In the 2008 election, 88 percent of the media made monetary contributions to support Obama. Most media share the progressive worldview. Polls consistently show approximately 85-90 percent of these media personnel vote democrat.

Suppressing stories to influence public perceptions is not what legitimate journalists do. The media silence on allowing one political party to claim reaching a compromise on a bill when the other party was completely excluded from negotiations, it is a dereliction of duty. Surrendering of professional ethics is destructive to our republic.

The entire way many of the bills have been rammed through Congress without deliberation, using procedural tricks and not even reading them, should have been exposed as a travesty. Time after time chronology and the facts are altered or not reported to promote the progressive democrat movement rather than to accurately state the facts when they disagree with the pro administration narrative.

The media as the fourth branch of government is an essential pillar of holding the other branches accountable. Instead, they are creating a false narrative to assist in propping up the current government, which is an unconscionable act bordering on treason.

The media has a vital role that should not be tainted by personal prejudices. The media's collusion with a progressive socialist transformation of America is not just the "old politics" of making a presidency. It is the immoral destruction of the self-determination of the American people.

Repeating a lie enough, especially with the help of state-controlled media, has a high probability of people believing the lie is the truth. This prevents citizens from making informed choices.

In this environment, the control of government moves from the people to politicians, which ends in totalitarianism.
