Nazdar,
The annual Masaryktown dinner and dance of T.G. Masaryk Birthday Celebration went off successfully. To those who have gone, those who have moved, those who are convalescing in an assisted living facility, the community extends deepest thank yous for your work and support all these many years.
Thank you to the new group: three board members, Linda Lovelady, Larry Dodson and Jimmy Sikes; Chef Patrick Byrne and his kitchen crew; volunteers Sharon Buchan, Pat Blackett, Janet Barkalow, Joan Chattaway, Niki and Dave Levesque, Becky Evans, Chuck and Kathy Spencer and Judy Fojaco.
Music was performed by Mario DeLeon. Jason Youngmann sang the National Anthem; Sona Hucko sang the Czech and the Slovak anthems. Entertainment was by Malia Ondrejka and Stephen Aldridge. A big, big thank you to all who came and enjoyed. Well, let's see what the future will bring. They will do the next big dinner in October.
Mark your calendar for April 11 because the Masaryktown Activities Club is presenting another Mystery Dinner Theater titled "The Next of Kin." (The butler did it - ha - just my opinion). Doors open at 3:30 p.m.; $15 per person or $25 a couple which includes dinner. There will also be a cash bar. For more information or tickets, call Larry at 796-6966.
By popular request, Elvis is back today at the Harmony Restaurant on U.S. 41 south from 4 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 848-0828.
Helen Havens had a surprising birthday party on her birthday, March 16, at her home. Boy was Helen surprised. Hosted by her daughter and son-in-law David and Helen Marcum and Helen's two granddaughters Stephany and Rebecca Parsalano. They prepared a dinner and birthday cake, and all had a surprising family good time.
The food pantry at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church still needs food items. Last week, the number they served was 109. With Easter approaching, they need more clean, plastic, grocery bags and clean one-dozen size egg cartons.

Jacky and John Watson took a 10-day trip touring the countryside. They drove to the Everglades, next Miami, and up to Orlando to Animal Kingdom. Also stopping along the way to see points of interest and restaurants. They had a great trip.
