Your article titled "Gore full of hot air" was simply ignorant and stupefying. Clearly, you have taken no time to research G.W. (Global warming, not George W. Bush, who is equally disastrous.) There's so much more complicated information that you are not digesting. Rather, you are making your conclusion based on a consensus of political affiliation and not science. I suggest you visit the following Web sites: www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=earthtalks-global-warming-harsher-winter and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming.
Since you have reduced this to a political issue, may I present the following information for your enlightenment: The most influential group of Republicans is the "Christian Coalition" comprised of predominantly evangelicals. The Republican Party's greatest hope for 2012 is Sarah Palin. She shares the C.C. beliefs, some of which are so moronic it's beyond comprehension. Examples of which are: The Earth is less than 10,000 years old (Palin believes it's 6,000) There are recorded civilizations older than both of those numbers.
Dinosaurs are a hoax and the bones were crafted and randomly planted across the world by Democrats. Darwin's Theory of Evolution is false, believing that "intelligent design" is the truth. (Intelligent design, talk about an oxymoron!) I.D. made it to the Supreme Court and was debunked - United States Supreme Court, Edwards v. Aguillard.
G.W. is not a political issue. It's one of science and is summed up as: More extreme weather events, from snowstorms to hurricanes to droughts, are the likely side effects of a climate in transition.
I think we can all agree the headline news has featured many of these examples.
