It's a boy! The long wait is over. Andrei made his debut on July 9. He weighed in at 9 pounds 10 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. The first-time new parents are Adian and Andreea Mandreanu. First-time grandparents are Pete and Mariana Mandreanu, owners of the Harmony House restaurant. Congratulations to all. Let's not forget the new uncle, Daniel Mandreanu, who left for Miami last Saturday. Their new prince has arrived, and grandpa and grandma could not wait to get their hands on him. Congratulations and many blessings to all.
Congratulations to former resident Igor Hucko and his wife Susana on the new addition to their family, born May 7 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, where they reside. She weighed in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. This new princess was baptized Brianna Hucko last Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Dave Brockhoff.
Also attending were grandparents Sona and Vladmir Hucko, her 3-year-old sister, Isabelle, great-grandmother Millie Hucko from here, and Godmother Millie Otruba from here. Wishing you all many more blessed events.
We have a neighborhood princess who had a birthday last Friday, July 9. Jodi Lynn Little was 3 years old. The next day, Saturday, July 10, a party was hosted at Grandma Tina and Grandpa Robert's home for Jodi Lynn by several members. About 60 family and friends helped her celebrate. There was a grill-cookout, lots of side dishes, cake and ice cream. They all enjoyed swimming, water balloon fights, whacking at a flower-shaped pinata. Jodi is still busy enjoying all the wonderful gifts. Mom and dad, Krystal and James Little, and their 3-year-old "star" princess say thank you to everyone ever so much for everything.
A busy last weekend. Another birthday party was held on July 10 for an older princess, Faith Ybarra. She was 12 years old last Saturday. Her parents, mom Kesha and dad L.G. Ybarra, hosted a party for her at their home. Joined by her sister, Maria; her brothers, Jose and Gavin Ybarra; grandmother, Faye Ybarra; her aunt and uncle, Crystal and Bobby; uncle, Shane Darby; and eight cousins. All had cake and ice cream, a bunch of fun. To all the above, congratulations. We wish you all many more birthdays with God's love.
David and Helen Marcum and Helen's daughters, Stephanie and Rebecca Parsolano, have returned from a 10-day trip to Philadelphia, Pa. They saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the statue of William Penn atop City Hall. In Gettysburg, they saw a re-enactment of the Battle of Gettysburg and also enjoyed an entire day at the Philadelphia Zoo. They visited with Helen's brother, Robert Havens, and his wife, Cristina, and their three children in Glenolden, Pa. On the return trip, they stopped in various spots in Virginia and North Carolina. It was a great trip.
It is a double oops. Not only one, but two mix-ups in one story. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about a young Miss Chloe Kuka, a student at Charlene's School of Dance.
It is not about her great achievements in dance, but about her age. Somehow along the line, the 1 from the 13 got lost. It came out in print as 3-year-old. Apparently, some people found this very funny which is sad for grown-ups to feel that way. Then her grandmother tells me she is only 11 years old. So, Chloe, sorry for this goof-up. It does not diminish your talents. Congratulations again, and keep up the great dancing.
