Local tea party supports Sager

The Hernando County tea party (HCTP) is proud to recognize Jason Sager as a Tea Party candidate. In addition, the HCTP is equally proud to support Jason Sager for Congress. Prior to running for the Congressional 5th District, Mr. Sager was a local grass roots political activist and is one of the Founding Fathers of the tea party movement in Hernando County. He steadfastly supports the mission and goals of the Tea Party movement and defends the U.S. Constitution and the intent of its framers.

While the HCTP is prohibited from endorsing candidates, we are permitted by our bylaws to support local and national tea party candidates that exhibit a firm commitment to a strict, limited government and fiscally conservative agenda. Jason's record and history as one of the Founding Fathers of the tea party movement in Hernando County demonstrates that he will not drift from these fundamental free market principles.

Mr. Sager has been a local tea party leader in Hernando County since the movement began. Prior to the tea party movement, he was an outspoken opponent of government corruption and wasteful spending at all levels. Mr. Sager has taken the mission of the tea party movement to heart and has invested long hours traveling many miles to speak at countless tea party events. Jason speaks about principles and values most Americans have been longing to hear out of the mouths of candidates. His commitment to retaking America from the corrupt tyrants in both political parties has made him a key resource in the Nature Coast region.

The HCTP is confident that Jason Sager is the only candidate in the 5th District race that will be able to make a difference in Washington, D.C. by doing what is best for Hernando County residents. Hernando citizens are tired of the Obama Administration's "Socialist Revolution" which is virtually tearing America apart.

If we ever hope to save our nation from the dustbin of history, then we need a constitutional warrior in the 5th District like Jason Sager to defend our God-given rights and liberties from Washington's tyranny. Jason Sager will give limited government conservatives, not only in Florida but all over the country, a key ally in the House.

The Hernando County tea party (HCTP) has been in operation since March 2010 and was formed by Hernando County resident Kevin Floyd just prior to the passage of the Neo-Marxist health care bill more commonly known as "Obamacare."

The HCTP currently has 115 active members and thousands of supporters throughout Hernando County. The HCTP is currently headquartered out of Spring Hill and meets regularly at the Spring Hill Branch Library on Spring Hill Drive. The group was originally based out of Brooksville but had to move to Spring Hill due to a lack of suitable meeting locations.
