A man was arrested Tuesday after he spat at his girlfriend outside a government building and less than seven hours later, another man was arrested after spitting on hospital workers who were trying to treat him, deputies said.
Jose A. Hernandez, 26, of 27271 Warner Ave. in Brooksville, was involved in an argument with his girlfriend along Forest Oaks Boulevard when he spit in her face and made a motion across his neck as if he was going to cut her throat, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
A witness confirmed the victim's account and Hernandez, who was charged with domestic battery, was taken to the Hernando County Jail and held with no bond, deputies said.
The second man, James Kincaid, 39, was taken to Brooksville Regional Hospital shortly before 6 p.m. for a sprained ankle when he began spitting in the faces of three people who were trying to provide him with medical care, according to an arrest report.
A deputy was called and observed Kincaid's behavior, he stated in the report.
Kincaid also was combative toward the deputy and he was taken to the Hernando County Jail.
He has no known address and he was held at the jail with no bond, deputies said.
