Strategic planning workshop is Friday

BROOKSVILLE - Many people like to form New Year's resolutions. County commissioners will put a slightly different spin on that when they meet at a workshop Friday and create a list of priorities to tackle as they face this new year.

Stanley Giannet, provost of the North Campus at Pasco-Hernando Community College, will facilitate the strategic planning workshop, which kicks off at 9 a.m. at the Hernando County Emergency Operations Center off the State Road 50 truck route by the sheriff's office. Given the economic challenges ahead, commissioners have invited all five elected constitutional officers to attend.
