With the holidays upon us, there should be goodwill in the air, a nice gesture or a friendly hello to someone you may not know.
Our quiet friendly neighborhood was rocked with an act of cruelty and violence on Christmas Eve. One of our neighbors shot another's cat, leaving him to die and be found on Christmas morning.
The little ray of orange and white fluffy sunshine, whose life was taken, didn't deserve to die. He touched many lives with his gentleness and love. The family is so hurt that someone would do such a thing.
These are hard times for many. However, there is no excuse for someone to take out their unhappiness on an innocent living creature.
Please, let's be kind to each other, talk to your neighbors. If we all try to get along and work together, we'll get through these hard times. Violence is not the answer.
