A 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery after he threatened his grandmother with a screwdriver, deputies said.
The boy, whose name is not being released because of his age, pushed his grandmother when she tried to remove the speaker of his stereo system at their Winston Court home, according to an arrest report.
The victim, who also is the boy's guardian, tried disconnecting the speaker because he was playing his music too loud, deputies said.
She fell backward when he pushed her. When she tried to disconnect the speaker again, the boy grabbed a screwdriver, held it over his head and threatened the victim, according to the report.
The boy was arrested and transported to the Hernando County Jail, deputies said.
Per the Department of Juvenile Justice, he was to be released to his parents and placed on home detention, according to the report.
