A Spring Hill man was arrested Saturday after authorities say he pawned his mother's Wii gaming system to purchase cigarettes, beer and food.
According to a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report, Christopher Bayko, 23, was charged with petit theft and dealing in stolen property after selling the Wii for $56, according to a deputy report.
When deputies spoke to Bayko's mother, she said she asked her son where her game system was and was told it was at a friend's house. She discovered otherwise after she found a pawn receipt dated late December.
Bayko told deputies he took the Wii to purchase alcohol, tobacco and food. He was transported to the Hernando County Jail.
