A man was arrested Wednesday morning on a felony battery charge after punching a man outside a bar, deputies said.
William John Moore, 25, of 9145 Lester Lane in Spring Hill, was at Jersey's Hometown Tavern at 4598 Commercial Way when he picked up a drink and threw it at the back of one of the bartenders, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
After he was told to leave, Moore began arguing with a group of women in the parking lot before swinging at a man and striking him in the face, cracking one of his teeth, deputies said.
The sheriff's office was called to the scene. Moore was yelling obscenities and acting disorderly before deputies wrestled him to the ground, the report showed.
Moore was charged with felony battery, misdemeanor battery, resisting arrest and disorderly intoxication.
