The time is now! It is a national disgrace that the United States of America's elected officials are posturing and prancing about in front of television cameras and talk show hosts just loving the sound of their own voices.
What do you not understand? What are you not hearing?
Let this 75-year-old woman say it as plainly as I can: Shame on you!
You have health care that takes care of you and your family. The rest of America needs the same protection for our families. Sickness is an equal opportunity employer!
We did not send you to Congress as our representatives to play ego games with our welfare! We sent you there believing that in good faith, you would all work together to bring your best efforts to bear to help find answers to the many problems that are the causes of much human suffering and anguish.
Is it that you are not up to the task or have labels and/or special interest loyalties frozen you into stubborn inaction?
I urge you to do the job your were elected to do, not as Republicans or Democrats, not as conservatives or liberals but as fellow Americans trying to facilitate a just health care system for all - not next year or the year after, but now!
