Hernando High School making strides

Wynn Keith, we at Hernando High School agree with you 100 percent - enough is enough.

This is the thoughts of Ken Pritz and his administration team. They started this concept last year by making a great effort to improve the overall climate on the campus of Hernando High School. I believe, the entire staff has worked hard to make these changes occur.

Facts can be provided to support this claim.

Enough is enough. Enough hearsay, enough half-truths and enough misinformation. You speak of incidents and attitudes on the HHS campus, yet, I dare say, you have spent little or no time on our campus, in our classroom, with our staff and students.

The ball is in your court, I would like to invite you to spend a day or two with me during an entire school day. (Don't wear good shoes.) I am sure a visit with Mr. Pritz could also be arranged.

My wife and I chose HHS as the best and safest choice for our children. We could have picked any other high school in the county.

I teach my students that when making a decision of any type, that by gathering more facts and information, the better their decision will be. More positive, involved community members are needed to help our students be successful.

Please step up and see the improvements that Mr. Pritz, his administrative team and the whole staff are implementing.

Remember, you can't gain any ground by slinging mud.
