How's that 'hope and change' working?

» 14 Comments | Post a Comment

This past weekend my parents and some other retired people I know received letters from the Social Security Administration stating that this coming year their benefits were going to be cut.

On average, for most of the people I have spoken to, they will receive less by slightly more than $100 a month. That will, of course, will mean less money to spend on going out to eat and to go shopping for food an Publix, Walmart or Winn-Dixie and less money to spend to go shopping at JCPenney, Kohl's and Target and, of course, less money for gas.

I would like to ask all those die-hard Democrats - all those Yellow Dogs out there: How is that hope and change working for out you? Are you still going to somehow continue to blame former President George Bush or will you admit that voting for a man for president who has had absolutely no experiencing in governing and is part of the Chicago political machine was a mistake?

He is putting us in deeper and deeper into debt that some in his own party admit is unsustainable. And who are the first ones to pay the price? It's the elderly. It's my parents. It is your parents and even your grandparents. In the future it will be your children.

Thank you President Barack Obama and thank you Democrats; you really made a bigger mess of things than anyone thought possible.
