The worm has turned

Re: Ms. 69-year-old of Spring Hill who feels like President Barack Obama should let us know more of what is going on in the Jan. 29 edition of Hernando Today.

He is on television in Air Force One whenever I turn on the news. He has done more traveling on that brand new airplane in his first year in office than any other one- or two-term Democrat or Republican president has done in his whole term as president. All of this in the shadow of a depression.

Hope he doesn't wear the engines out on that brand new jet.

He's raised our taxes, given trillions to other countries and then slapped your face as well as all of the retirees in the good old USA by not giving us a raise for the next two years on our Social Security checks.

Also, most of us who receive (or are lucky enough) an additional pension check are taxed up to 50 percent of our Social Security check.

Where have you been? Oh yes, don't forget those who criticize U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite, our congresswoman, who has stood up to both parties about the illegal immigrants.

She also stood up to government-controlled health care. People don't read or have had their heads in the sand!

If one doesn't educate their own self, why would you expect the politicians in Washington to do so? Almost 90 percent are there for their own personal gain (not yours).

Our country is beginning to take back.

Massachusetts, for example, kicked out the Democrats for a truck driver. I am not being critical of either party - Democrat or Republican - but whoever you are, when I vote, I am crisscrossing the ballot and throwing you all out. We need a real good housecleaning.

Yes, Ms. 69-year-old of Spring Hill, Obama did in this crap from a Democratic House and Senate who gave President George W. Bush a lot of heartache and agony for his last two years in office.

Now slowly the worm has turned. Maybe the Republicans can really help out Obama during his last two years.
