Needle in a haystack

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

I don't have a problem with volunteering, but if the state would make our county commissioners volunteer their time too, and give Hernando County that money saved, we would be way ahead of the game.

Asking Supervisor of Elections Annie Williams to find 700 volunteers is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Yes, I am a poll worker, and I will not volunteer for the post. When I do work a poll, I am away from my family about 14 hours that day, and getting paid not only helps me, it also makes the day a day worth working.

If County Administrator David Hamilton thinks poll working is less of a job than his, he should volunteer his time as a part-time commissioner.

Actually they should all volunteer their time and donate the money to the county.

They want to take, take, take, but don't want to give an inch.

Ms. Williams, gook luck in finding all 700 needles in the haystack.
